Since 1932, increasing homeownership has been a national priority. And
while the American housing system is among the best in the world, many
consumers remain confused and frustrated by the home buying process.
Through Mywayhome, a non-profit
educational organization, the Homeownership Now
event was created to help consumers navigate the administrative and
financial hurdles of home buying and to expand homeownership opportunities
for all.
Over the past twelve years, Homeownership Now
has helped more than 14,000 residents throughout the Northeast achieve their
goal of homeownership.
Recognizing the need to assist moderate-to-middle income families,
Homeownership Now provides an unbiased
look at the world of real estate and home financing. During the 3-½ hour
educational presentation, Homeownership Now
focuses on the most common obstacles consumers face in purchasing real
estate, such as qualifying for home financing and saving for down payments.
A strong emphasis is placed on preparing for the home buying process by
providing attendees with the information necessary to become highly
competitive in today’s real estate market.
In addition to the event, Homeownership Now
provides complimentary one-on-one interviews that give attendees an
opportunity to have their personal home buying questions answered.
Homeownership Now is presented by
keynote speakers Joseph Farella and Earl Myers, highly acclaimed industry
experts and authors of the award winning book “Insider Secrets to
Home-Buying Success”. The success of Homeownership
Now prompted CNN correspondent Kathleen Hayes to report “Its
programs like this that have helped push homeownership to records levels in
our country.”
